Chief Sabitawasis School

City: Fishing Lake, Sask.
Branch: Allmar Saskatoon

Scope: Allmar supplied the Wood Doors, Metal Doors and Frames; Supplied and Installed Automatic Door Operators.

This new construction project provided a new facility for the Fishing Lake First Nation school. With project value of $22.5 million and 38,000 square feet, the high-tech building is a convenient update from the chain of portable classrooms that housed students for decades about 5 miles to the south of the new school’s location. The new school houses a spacious gymnasium, a practical and applied arts area complete with welding and construction equipment, a commercial-grade food preparation lab and an attached recreational complex.

Merlis Belsher Place

City: Saskatoon, Sask.
Branch: Allmar Saskatoon

Scope: Allmar supplied the Metal Toilet Partitions, Washroom Accessories, and the Whiteboards.

With an overall project value of $51 million, Merlis Belsher Place is a cutting edge recreational facility on the University of Saskatchewan campus in Saskatoon, SK.  With two levels offering a combined 120,000 square feet of recreation space,  the state-of-the-art building’s technologies, engineering, and design make it one of the most outstanding sports and varsity facilities in the nation.  It provides a spectator rink size 200′ x 90′, and a 2nd NHL-size ice surface, 200′ x 85′.  It also houses the 2 official NBA-size Ron and Jane Graham Gymnasiums.  The recreational facility is the new home of the University of Saskatchewan Huskie hockey, basketball and campus leagues as well as the Midget AAA Contacts and Midget AAA Stars of the Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association.

Dakota Dunes Hotel

City: Whitecap Dakota First Nation

Scope: Allmar supplied Phenolic Toilet Partitions, Metal Lockers and the Washroom Accessories.

With an overall project value of $37.6 million, the Dakota Dunes Hotel is a 155-room premiere tourism destination resort located on the historic Whitecap First Nation, south of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and next to the Dakota Dunes Casino. A tribute in design to its indigenous heritage, the hotel features Indigenous themes and décor, and includes a fitness centre, a business centre, pool, and a restaurant.

Horizon School Admin Bldg. & Maintenance Shop

City: Saskatoon, Sask.
Branch: Allmar Saskatoon

Scope: Allmar supplied the Hardware Specification Writing, Supply of Architectural Door Hardware, as well as Hollow Metal Doors and Frames.

With an overall project value of $5.4 million, the Horizon School Division design-build project consisted of a 17,530 square foot two-story office building with an attached 5,250 square foot maintenance shop. Three separate steel buildings were combined to create the form of the building. The exterior consists of a standing seam thermal roof system, exterior cladding and masonry stone facade.
