Opened in spring of 2001, the $16.8 million Windsor Regional Cancer Centre features an award-winning 73,000-square-meter facility. The centre, described as “benevolent, modern architecture” includes three high-energy radiation treatment rooms, a 31-station chemotherapy suite, brachytherapy and simulator suite and multiple examination and counseling rooms. The building also contains a health resource library, research labs, classrooms, conference facilities, and a landscaped water garden.
